Volunteers needed for cleanup

DOUGLAS COUNTY — The Bureau of Land Management is looking for local volunteers to help pick up garbage and do trail and sign work in the Douglas Creek area on Sept. 26.
The project is part of National Public Land Day. It will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the recreation area located between Waterville and Palisades.
Volunteers will receive a free one-day pass to any public sites that charge a fee and are managed by the Bureau of Land Management, National Park Service, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service or U.S. Forest Service.
