EAST WENATCHEE — Michelle Kennedy is still the leader in the Pure Stocks class at Wenatchee Valley’s Super Oval, but she has company at the top.
Thanks to his second place finish in Saturday’s main race, J.R. Turner (1,232 points) is just three points shy of the standings leader.
Kennedy finished fourth in the main, while Ardala Donithan took the checkered flag.
Turner also took the first trophy dash and the heat race Saturday.
In the Bump-2-Pass class, Jay Durham picked his first win this season.
Randy Casey was second, while George Casey, Mike Casey and Mike Sheehey rounded out the top five in the main race.
Randy Casey (713 points) jumped into the points lead in the class, as Mike Ross (695 points) fell from first to third in the standings. George Casey is sitting in second place with 704 points.
The featured class for the night, the NW Legends, saw Bob Kronenberg claim the victory in the main race. Ben Matheson, Jesse Branham, Aaron Stowe and Tom Matheson made up the rest of the top five.
Action continues next Saturday at the Super Oval with the Thunder Cars, Youth Hornets, and North American Big Rig Racing, a touring series of semi trucks.
