Dennis Gail Riley
Sunday, August 8, 2010
Dennis Gail Riley, was born July 28, 1946, in Omak, WA and passed away July 27, 2010, at Wenatchee, WA. Dennis graduated from Chelan High School in 1964, then moved to Tacoma, WA, where he attended electrical training classes prior to joining the I.B.E.W. in late 1965. While attending the Tacoma training, he met Sally Sipes, whom he married in 1967. He joined the U.S. Navy, where he served on an aircraft carrier during the Vietnam War. He returned to Wenatchee, reinstated in the Union and began a 45-year electrical career. Dennis and Sally raised their two children, Dena and Clinton, in Wenatchee and certainly considered Wenatchee their home. From an extremely early age, Dennis displayed a fascination with flight and began building and flying model airplanes. He joined the Wenatchee Red Apple Flyers, where he enthusiastically flew his planes for many years. His other passion was snowmobiling, which he reluctantly gave up in 2008, due to illness. He was a member of the Lake Chelan Eagles. He enjoyed riding dirt bikes, gardening and, most of all, family get-togethers.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin G. and Eunice E. Riley; and is survived by his wife, Sally of Wenatchee; his daughter, Dena England (Jared); his son, Clinton Riley; his brother, Mike Riley (Mindy); and four wonderful grandchildren, Allison, Andrew, Amanda and Luke.
Memorial Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, August 14, 2010, at Jones & Jones~Betts Memorial Chapel. Remembrances in Dennis' name may be made to the American Cancer Society. Thoughts and memories may be expressed on the online guest book at jonesjonesbetts.com. Arrangements are by Jones & Jones~Betts Funeral Home, Wenatchee.

My dear Sally! I don't know what to say or how to say it if I did! I am so sorry! I will be out of state the day of the service but my thoughts are with you and the kids. Please take care of yourself and you are in my prayers! Love you, Linda Bonwell
