Gallery seeks art proposals
WENATCHEE — The Robert Graves Gallery at Wenatchee Valley College, 1300 Fifth St., is accepting proposals for solo, two-person and group exhibitions for the 2010-11, 2011-12 and 2012-13 school years. Intermediate and advanced artists can practice plein air painting with Oregon artist Sam Collett in a two-day workshop. From the museum, Collett leads the group to a nearby park to paint landscapes as they see them. Students must provide their own drawing or painting supplies and a sack lunch both days.

Two Rivers opens its latest exhibit to the public, featuring paintings by Les Garcia. The reception includes refreshments, wine and live music by guitarist Kirk Lewellen. Garcia’s work remains on display through Oct. 31.

Chelan artist Anne Jacobsen Clausen leads a three-day watercolor workshop for beginning painters or artists looking to improve their skills. Most supplies are provided (bring your own round brush, size 4-8, and a pencil), but artists may use their own materials as well. The course fee includes all meals.

Peshastin artist Tuttle puts his work on display at Lost River. He is a label artist for Lost River Wines and owns the Peshastin Creek Gallery. The reception includes free samples of food and wine. Tuttle’s paintings and prints remain on display through Dec. 1.
