Leonard Loudon

Leonard Loudon, 84, passed away on December 4, 2010. He was born on December 6, 1925, in Willamette, OR to Kenneth and Mabel Loudon. Leonard enlisted in the Navy in 1943, finishing his tour of duty in Dublin, GA. After his discharge, he enrolled in the University of Wyoming, majoring in English, and while there, he boxed for the Sigma Nu Fraternity and won the Jr. Welter Weight Championship. Leonard had various jobs throughout his life: Associate Editor of the Saratoga Sun in Rawlins, WY; iron worker; shoe salesman for Montgomery Ward; dispatcher for Casper Concrete Co. in Casper, WY; and finally settling in Wenatchee, WA, where he was an Accountant for Leonard Evan's Chrysler Plymouth. He was an avid hiker, talented in all sorts of repair and building projects, and his vacuuming and counter wiping skills could not be surpassed.
Leonard has left a legacy of love and humor to a large blended group of family and friends, his gentle heart and playful spirit will be missed by all who knew him.
Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, December 8, 2010, at 2:30 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, 1400 S. Miller, Wenatchee, WA. Donations, in his memory, may be made to Cancer Care of NCW, 1708 Castlerock, Wenatchee, WA 98801 or Serve Wenatchee Valley, P.O.
