Juan Salazar
Monday, February 22, 2010
Juan Salazar, 50, of Waterville, passed away suddenly, but peacefully, on February 19, 2010, in a Seattle Hospital, after a lengthy illness. He was born on February 3, 1960, to Ignacia and Senorina Salazar in Santiago Ixc, Nayarit, Mexico. After high school, he came to California with his brother, Luis, to work in landscaping. He eventually ended up in Orondo, WA, where he met Etta Preugshat. They married on March 3, 1984. They had their first son, Juan Martin "Johnnie" in 1986, and Cody Adam followed in 1988. Juan worked for several orchards throughout the Valley and occasionally for the NCW District Fair. Juan also enjoyed working in his yard and helping to take care of Cody's dogs, Ace, Bobe and Ginger.
Survivors include Etta, Johnnie and Cody, all of Waterville; his mother; and three sisters, Cecilia, Angela and Martha, all of Mexico; brothers Luis, Ismael and Nacho, all of California, Enrique of Port Arthur, TX and Agustin of Pasco, WA; special nephews and nieces, Jeremy, Jaobe, Jermiah, Cera, Jessica (Junior) and McKenzie, all of Wenatchee; and special friends, Lynnette, Juan Erma, Jana, Lupe, Austroberto and Mario, all of Waterville.
He requested that No Services be held. If desired, memorials may be made to the NCW District Fair in Juan's name. "Juan wasn't here to live a long time, just long enough to have a good time." Please express your thoughts and memories on the online guest book at jonesjonesbetts.com. Arrangements are by the Waterville Funeral Home.
