Born December 31, 1932, in Moorcroft, WY, to Charles and Ruby Williams, Dad left for that "bigger fish" December 28, 2009, at 1:55 a.m. in Poulsbo, WA. Dad was surrounded by family and his dog/fishing friend, "Chopper." Dad joined the Navy January 1951, at age 17, spending four years as a Machinist Mate in the Korean War. Dad married Gwenda (Bane) Edwards of Wenatchee, WA, in Noxon, MT and for 23 years they raised five children in Bridgeport, WA. Dad made his home for 29 years in Poulsbo, WA, with his loving partner, Gail Cole. Dad was a Northwest Union Carpenter for 50 years at dams, bridges, buildings, dry-docks and other projects. Willing to lend a hand, Dad helped family build garages, fences, decks, roofs and more. Dad's love for the outdoors and many hours fishing at Point-No-Point Beach, Sekiu and Westport gives family and friends many fond memories!

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles; mother, Ruby; brother, Wayne; and son-in-law, Bill Rhodes. He is survived by Gail Cole; children, Sonja Rhodes of East Wenatchee, Dave (Pam) of Kent, Chuck (Rhonda) of Enumclaw, Tammy Ingram (Robbin) of Wenatchee and Jeff (Teresa) of Silverdale, WA; and grandchildren, Jennifer, Justin, Ryan, Tristan, Elizabeth, Josh, Jared, Matt, Jessica and Michael; and great-grandchildren, Derek, Skylar, Ashlynn and Saheli.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.

Daddy, I miss you and love you very much and you will always be in my heart. Thank you for all of the memories you have left me with and I will remember them fondly whether in tears, laughter, anger, or sadness in the years to come. I will remember what you taught me about fishing because I will hear your voice beside me each time I cast the line out. I am glad you were always there for me to talk with either in person or over the phone. I am really glad you were apart of my life as well as my family's life. I love you daddy!
