Mary Magdalene Cameron was born June 12, 1923, to Lillian (Hulse) and Don Cameron in Antioch, NE. The family traveled from Nebraska to Iowa, Wyoming, Montana and Idaho, and finally settling in Washington. She attended school in Wenatchee and Seattle, graduating from St. Mary's Academy in Winlock, WA. She joined the Cadet Nursing Corps and started nurses' training in Havre, MT. She transferred back to Wenatchee in 1945, and graduated from Deaconess Nursing School in 1946. She married Floyd W. Rambo on October 15, 1947. Mary worked as a Registered Nurse at St. Anthony's and the Deaconess Hospitals. She also worked for Dr.'s Haug and C.K. Miller in the early days of Wenatchee Valley Clinic. In 1962, the family moved to Seattle and she worked at Cabrini Hospital until 1966. Upon returning to Wenatchee, she worked in the Maternity Ward at Central Washington Hospital and also at Parkside Convalescent Center. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, the Catholic Daughters of America, Lector and Eucharistic Minister. She was a member of the Genealogy Society of Wenatchee and a Girl Scout Leader.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Floyd Rambo. She is survived by daughter, Lori (Rambo) and Bob Smet and their daughters, Colleen (Smet) and Luke Mathis of Seattle and Meghan Smet of Redmond; also daughter, Marilyn (Rambo) Williamson of Havre, MT.

Funeral Mass will be Celebrated on Wednesday, January 6, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Wenatchee, with Interment following at Evergreen Memorial Park.
