Following a long term illness, Mary Ellen Preugschat, 81, surrounded by her family, left this life on the morning of January 2, 2010, to be with her beloved cowboy, "Obbie." Mary Ellen lived her entire life in Waterville. While she was in high school, she was a majorette for the Waterville High School Band. She was very active in the family farm and had a great love of working with the cattle. She was a Blue Bird and Cub Scout Leader and was actively involved with her children in 4-H. She was also an avid supporter of the Waterville Shockers. One of her greatest memories, was working with the farmers through her job at the ASCS office in Waterville.

She is survived by her children, Albert (Karma) Preugschat of Bridgeport and Erma Osborne, Lynette (Juan) Harris and Etta (Juan) Preugschat, all of Waterville; her loving nephew, Mike Feeney of Arizona; grandchildren, Justin (Kim), Joshua (Allison), Jennifer (Jenna) Osborne, Jordan (Mallory) Sprauer, Shane Preugschat, Shelbie (Scott) Hively, Jeremy (Cera) Preugschat, Jessica (Junior) Harris, Johnnie Salazar and Cody Preugschat; and great-grandchildren, Weston, Walker, Jacobe, Jeramiah, McKenzie, Madisen, Dylan, Honistee and Ivy. She is also survived by lifelong friends, Verdonna Buse Morse, Lola Van Dyke and Patty Reinholt. She was preceded in death by her husband, Obbie; her parents, Bart and Erma Feeney; and her only sibling, Allen Feeney.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, January 7, 2010, at 11:00 a.m., at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Waterville. Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 6, 2010, at the Waterville Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. If desired memorials may be made in Mary Ellen's name, to the NCW District Fair or the Waterville Ambulance Fund. Arrangements by the Waterville Funeral Home.

Warm thoughts and prayers to MaryEllen's family and friends during this sad time. Will think of you often especially during raspberry season -- dad's rule....the first picking goes to the lady across the street. Rest in Peace in the arms of the angels.........
