Opal Middleton

Opal Middleton, 83, of George, died Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2009.

She was a longtime resident of George. She had worked for Lamb-Weston for 28 years, was a housekeeper and did orchard and field harvesting.

Survivors include her husband, Harold Middleton of George; her children, Sharon Howe of Warden, Roberta Goyne of George and Suzanne Walker of Ellensburg; and her sister, Nora May Murphy of Missouri.

A celebration of her life will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Quincy Community Church, 124 D St. S.W. Concluding services and interment will follow at the Quincy Valley Cemetery. Visitation will be held from noon to 4 p.m. Friday at Scharbach’s Columbia Funeral Chapel in Quincy.

Arrangements are by Scharbach’s Columbia Funeral Chapel.
