Tobin Walker, 5, of Leavenworth, along with other students in the Icicle Arts after school program learn a hip-hop dance routine Tuesday afternoon from Anna James Percival at Osborn Elementary School. Percival is the managing director for Icicle Arts and came up with A.S.A.P. with parents and community members to help expose kids to a variety of arts.

The first Icicle Arts’ After School Arts Program (A.S.A.P.) class took place Tuesday at Osborn Elementary School in Leavenworth.

The first session focused on hip-hop dancing.

Other classes will teach music, visual arts and other traditional art.

A.S.A.P. for first-, second- and third-grade students runs every day through March 22 at Osborn Elementary School and costs $90.

Beginning April 6 through June 8, A.S.A.P. is held at Osborn Elementary for third-, fourth- and fifth-grade students. The cost is $75.

At Barn Beach Reserve, now through March 23, middle and high school students can participate in the after school arts program. The students come up with the projects they’d like to accomplish throughout the 12-week class.

Beginning April 5 through June 7 a similar program will be held at Cashmere United Methodist Church for middle school and high school students.
