Dorothy Brattain

Dorothy Brattain, age 89, died on Tuesday, January 12, 2010, at Franklin Hills Health Center in Spokane. She was born on July 29, 1920, in Pine Creek, to parents, Carl and Etta (Didra) Paxton. Dorothy attended schools in Pine Creek and Longview and graduated from high school at Riverside, WA in 1939. On May 13, 1940, she married John Brattain in Lewiston, ID. Dorothy worked as an apple packer and foreperson for Regal Fruit for a number of years. She was a member of the Tonasket Eagles Auxiliary.

She is survived by two daughters, Arloha Scriver and Victoria Linden, both of Spokane; six grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, John; sister-in-law, Agnes Shunn; and her son, John "Jack" Brattain.

Family Services will be held at a later date. Bergh Funeral Service of Oroville is in care of arrangements.
