Jack D. Frei died at the age of 65 on Friday, January 15, 2010, in his home, peacefully surrounded by his immediate family. He had been battling cancer for the past 18 months. Jack was born in Seattle, WA on March 17, 1944, to Harold and Thelma (Kirby) Frei. He attended the University of Washington, played on the golf team and was always an avid "Dawg" fan. On January 8, 1977, he married his wife of 33 years, Pam (Haskins) Frei from Seattle, WA. He was a 36-year member of the PGA and a local Golf Course Architect, with his best known courses being Bear Creek Country Club, Echo Falls and Desert Canyon Golf Resort. He loved golf, his work and his family. He was a very passionate, caring and compassionate man.
Survivors include his wife, Pam; sons, Ryan and Travis Long; daughter, Lindzee Frei; grandchildren, Nathan, Cooper and Sydney Long; and dog, Maverick.
