Genevieve went to join her husband in Heaven on January 18, 2010. She was born March 2, 1924, in Castor, Alberta, Canada and married Jack Coler on June 25, 1943, in Arizona. During WWII, they were remarried in seven different states, in which they were stationed. They settled in Southern California and raised their family in Long Beach. They retired and moved to Wenatchee in 1982, to be near their grandchildren. When Jack passed away in 2001, Genevieve lost the love of her life.
She is survived by her children, Steve (Kathy) Coler of Cypress, CA, Linda (Rod) Miller of East Wenatchee and Susan (Steve) Gregg of East Wenatchee; daughter-in-law, Peggy (Gary) Morrill of Palatine, IL; sister, Sharon (Richard) Grote of Simi, CA; grandchildren, Ron (Julia) Morrill of Philadelphia, Paul (Melissa) Morrill of Chicago, IL, Adrienne (Jay) Williams of Nashville, TN, Daniel Miller of East Wenatchee, Jill (Brad) Hunt of Charlottesville, VA, Devon (Will) Deaton of Athens, OH, Matthew (Erin) Gregg of Las Vegas, NV, Wendy (Curtiss) Chamberlain of Las Vegas, NV, Bob Miller of Seattle and Jonathan (Celeste) Gregg of Las Vegas, NV; six great-grandchildren; and nine great-granddogs. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ross and Dolly Shantz; husband, Jack; son, Jack Ross; and sisters, Beth Sawyer and Jeannie Sullivan.
A Celebration of her Life will be held on the island of Maui in December, 2010. A Memorial Celebration will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2010, at 2:00 p.m. at the clubhouse at Sunrise East in East Wenatchee. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the charity of your choice.
