Doris Lee McCulley, 73, of Monroe, WA, died on January 20, 2010, after a courageous battle with leukemia. She was born on August 18, 1936, in Leavenworth, WA and was raised in Okanogan, WA. She married her high school sweetheart, Dale, on her 18th birthday. Doris worked as a secretary for the Monroe School District for more than 20 years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and special friend to all who knew and loved her.
Doris is survived by her husband of 55 years, Dale; twin brother, David Taylor of Soap Lake and brother, Bob Taylor of Arizona; children, Tamra (Ken), Steve (Lynn), Shawn (Patty) and Mike; grandchildren, Desiree (Josh), Christina (Peter), Megan, Peyton, Mikayla and Shaylee; and great-grandchildren, Ethan and Gavin.
A Private Family Burial will be held at Tahoma National Cemetery. A Celebration of her Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 30, 2010, at the Horseshoe Grange, 16428 Broadway Avenue SE, Snohomish; all are welcome. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
