Marjorie Eldora Petersen, 87, passed away January 25, 2010, at Central Washington Hospital in Wenatchee, WA. Marjorie was born on October 28, 1922, in Malden, WA. She spent her early years in Malden, Wenatchee and Waterville, WA. Marjorie met and married Alfred Lee Pedersen on February 14, 1948. She spent most of her life on a wheat ranch in the Waterville area. Marjorie enjoyed riding and racing horses in her early years. She loved gardening, tending to her many flowers and cooking for her family. For many years, she drove the school bus for the Waterville School District. In her later years, Marjorie was a resident at Highline Care Center in East Wenatchee, where she entertained many people with her lovely voice and singing. Marjorie was a member of the United Lutheran Church of Waterville.
Marjorie is survived by her two daughters, Janell Bourton and husband, Hubert of Waterville and Mary Ann Stafford and husband, Sun Bear of Selma, OR; one son, Bill Ervin and wife, Joyce of Rainier, OR; daughter-in-law, Dorene Ervin of Coulee City, WA; along with many grandchildren; cousins; nieces; and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Lee Pedersen; and one son, Raymond Ervin.
Private Family Graveside Services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Friday, January 29, 2010, at the Waterville Cemetery. Memorials, in her name, may be made to the Waterville Ambulance Fund.
