Donald E. ‘Don’ Thoren

Donald E. “Don” Thoren, 86, of Coulee Dam, died Saturday, Jan. 23, 2010, in Spokane. He had lived in Coulee Dam for 80 years and was a superintendent at Grand Coulee Dam, retiring in 1986.

Survivors include his sons, Terry Thoren and Rick Thoren, both of Spokane; and his sisters, Frances Culver of Spokane and Teddy Hainline of Sprague.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Strate Funeral Home in Grand Coulee, 329 E. Grand St., with graveside services to follow at Spring Canyon Cemetery in Grand Coulee. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Arrangements are by Strate Funeral Home.
