Harold G. Stroud

Harold G. Stroud, 76, of Wenatchee, died Friday, Jan. 29, 2010. He had lived in Wenatchee for 60 years. He had retired from the Washington State University Tree Fruit Research and Extension Center and later was co-owner of E & S Orchards in Orondo.

Survivors include his wife, Frances Stroud of Wenatchee; and his children, Michael Pratt and Russel Stroud, both of East Wenatchee, Steven Pratt of Spokane, Sonia Stroud of Wenatchee, and Gregory Stroud and Jeff Stroud, both of Melbourne, Ark.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Jones & Jones-Betts Funeral Chapel, 302 Ninth St. in Wenatchee. Arrangements are by Jones & Jones-Betts Funeral Home.

Harold was a good man, and besides my father, he knew everything there was about managing and growing some of the finest fruits Orondo had to offer way back when.....You will be missed...RIP Harold!!
