Abbey Smeltzer and Ernest “Ernie” Reynolds II exchanged wedding vows Dec. 19 at First Presbyterian Church in Wenatchee.
The Rev. Paul Pankey officiated the ceremony.
She is the daughter of David and Ruth Smeltzer of Wenatchee. His parents are Ernie and Carol Reynolds of Walsenburg, Colo.
Attending the couple were Sarah Bumps, Amy Berkompas, Betsy Myers and Crystal Sandberg, all of Wenatchee; Kelly Isaacson of Seattle, cousin of the bride; Nathan Smeltzer of Chelan, brother of the bride; Mark Smeltzer of Wenatchee, brother of the bride; Anitra Smithey of Killeen, Texas, sister of the groom; Craig Gerst of Fletcher, N.C.; Andrew Oldenburg of Wenatchee, cousin of the groom; Jimmie Pool of Pueblo, Colo.; Richie Tenorio of Walsenburg; Travis Tripp of Colorado Springs, Colo.; Rylee Smithey of Killeen, niece of groom; and Toby Smithey of Killeen, nephew of groom.
A reception followed at the Wenatchee Convention Center.
The newlyweds honey-mooned at Pacific Shores Resort at Nanoose Bay, B.C., and have settled in Wenatchee.
She graduated from Wenatchee High School in 1999 and from Whitworth University with bachelor’s degrees in history and Spanish and a secondary education endorsement certificate in 2003. She is a youth minister at First Presbyterian Church in Wenatchee and the Achieving Character Excellence Institute coordinator for the Wenatchee Valley College Foundation.
He graduated from John Mall High School in Walsen-burg in 1996 and from Union College in Lincoln, Neb., with a bachelor’s degree in physical education and secondary education endorsement certificates in Bible and physical education in 2000. He is a plumber for Plumbco in Wenatchee.
