Ted Finegold lived an exemplary life of passion, charity and adventure. He impacted many lives, here and elsewhere, in a positive way. He had a charisma that was all his own, making friends with anyone he came in contact with, as he was truly interested in the lives of others. Ted started life in San Louis Obispo, CA on January 8, 1967. He was raised in Honolulu, HI and Los Gatos, CA. At the age of 16, he attended Nick Bolletieri's Tennis Academy in Bradenton, FL and graduated from Sarasota High School in Sarasota, FL. He went to the University of Florida on a tennis scholarship, majoring in Finance. Upon graduation, he attended Stetson Law School in St. Petersburg, FL and received his LLM tax degree at New York University. He joined the law firm of Jeffers, Danielson, Sonn and Aylward in 1994, and was with the firm for 16 years. He was an avid adventurer and sports enthusiast, spending his free time biking, running, swimming, skiing, wind surfing, traveling and running triathlons, marathons and biking events around the country. Ted's travels took him and his family as far as Honduras, Europe, Panama and the Dominican Republic, where they not only visited, but immersed themselves in the culture and made many life friends along the way. He was a wonderful husband, father, friend, colleague and community leader. Among all his endeavors, his family was the center of his life, and his biggest success, finding all his true joy in their midst. His eyes lit up the most whenever he was playing with his children and planning their next great adventure together.

He is survived by his wife, Lynda, son, Jake (8) and daughter, Berkeley (5), all of Wenatchee; his parents, John and Mary Finegold of Bradenton, FL; father- and mother-in-law, Ronald and Julia Johnson of Salt Lake City, UT; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Celebration of Ted's Life will be held at Mission Ridge at 5:00 p.m., Sunday, August 1, 2010. There will be a bike ride starting from Lincoln Park at 2:30 p.m. prior to the celebration, for those wanting to ride in his memory. It will be endearingly known as "Ted's Uphill Upchuck." In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Annie's Fun for Cancer Research, 5801 Pioneer Drive, Cashmere, WA 98815. Please express your thoughts and memories on the online guest book at jonesjonesbetts.com. Arrangements by Jones & Jones~Betts Funeral Home, Wenatchee.

I met Mr. Finegold a few years ago. He was the most polite and very intelligent young man. He made my job working for the Federal government alot easier. Ted will be missed by some many of us that had the pleasure of working with him.

My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.
