Congratulations
Wenatchee Valley Medical Center was recently awarded the Washington State Medical Association’s William O. Robertson Patient Safety Award for Excellence for the Patient Profile Project, submitted by Dr. Peter Rutherford, Casey Brown and Sarah Battis-Johnson of WVMC. The project created a standardized document to communicate necessary patient information in a condensed, quickly accessible and easily understood format. By the end of 2007, 85 percent of patients had a completed and current profile.
This year’s recipients of the 2010 Nurse Week Scholarship are Sandy Ballard, Ed Callahan Jr., Tristin Brown, Michelle Love-Wells, and Aubrey Jeffers. Purkyne in Brno, Czech Republic, and in 1999 he completed a four-year residency in internal medicine at the Polyclinic Medical Center in Harrisburg, Pa.

He will represent the League at state conventions.
