Junior association coming back to Wenatchee golf club

EAST WENATCHEE — The American Junior Golf Association will make its only 2010 stop in the state in a little over a week when the AJGA Junior comes to the Wenatchee Golf & Country Club.
It’s the third year that the AJGA has come to Wenatchee, and the field is expected to again include some of the best young golfers from the U.S. and Canada.
This year’s field will include 99 golfers from 10 U.S. states and Canada, including 22 Washington golfers.
The three-day tournament starts Tuesday, Aug. 9.
Kahler Glen
Lisa Hanson shot 91 on Tuesday to win the Monthly Medal competition in the Kahler Glen Ladies Golf League, and qualify for the President’s Trophy playoffs.
Hanson’s 91 was good for the win in Division 2, while Kaye Krandall won low gross in Division 1. Net winners were Carol Billesbach in Division 1 and Ann Reynolds in Division 2.
Three Lakes
The Three Lakes ladies 18 hole golf league played a nine-hole game using half-handicaps this week.
Division 1 winners were Claudia Speer (gross, 45), and Bea Dearing (net, 33.5), and Division 2 winners were Sharon Paine (gross, 51) and Sherry Perleberg (net, 36.5).
