Betty Lou (Zucker) Reams

Betty Lou Reams was born November 29, 1929, in Hartford, SD, to Carl and Ruth (Skinner) Zucker. Betty went to be with the Lord on June 8, 2010, at Sacred Heart Hospital in Spokane, WA. Betty lived in South Dakota in her early childhood, before moving to Montana. She moved with her family to Washington, settling in Spokane. Betty married Arthur C. Reams Sr. in Spokane, WA on November 24, 1951. Of that marriage, two sons were born, Arthur C. Reams Jr. of Spokane and Rick Reams of Palouse, WA. After Art Sr. passed away in Pullman, WA in 1974, Betty moved to Entiat, WA to be near relatives. She worked for Skookum Warehouse and Mad River Warehouse. After retiring, she returned to Spokane and resided with her son, Arthur Jr. Betty enjoyed crocheting and reading.

Survivors include her two sons, Art Jr. (Darla) of Spokane, WA and Rick (Val) of Palouse, WA; granddaughters, Christy, Stephanie and Erin Reams; two-great-grandchildren; one sister, Dorothy Vrandenburg of Entiat; four brothers, Roger (Fran) of Gaffney, SC, John (Yvonne) of Entiat, Robert (Irene) of Mt. Vernon, WA and Ronald (Margie) of Wenatchee; two sisters-in-law, Laura Flagg of Omak and Gloria Reams of San Diego, CA; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Art Sr.; her parents, Carl and Ruth; and infant brother, Richard.

Memorial Services will be held at the Entiat Federated Church on Saturday, June 19, 2010, at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be at the Okanogan Valley Memorial Garden on Monday, June 21, 2010, at 1:00 p.m. on the Conconully Highway. Memorials may be made to a charity of your choice.
