Kyle Kirk Riley

Kyle Kirk Riley, born at home on a farm outside of Topeka, KS on February 23, 1935, passed away June 13, 2010, in Wenatchee, WA. Kyle graduated from Okanogan High School in 1954, and promptly married his high school sweetheart, Ada Marie Umberger. Kyle and Ada moved to Seattle, where he worked for Sears Roebuck, Pacific Fruit and Produce and Libby, before moving to Snoqualmie in 1965. Kyle and Ada raised their two daughters, Kim and Kristin in Snoqualmie and owned and operated Kyle's Furniture for 30 years. After living for a few years on Whidbey Island, they moved to Wenatchee in 2003.
Kyle was preceded in death by his parents, Anna L. and Marion Kirk Riley; as well as his siblings, Gwendolyn Salmons-Malone, Melvin Riley and Thelma Bonwell; and his nephews, Ron Bonwell, Lyndall Salmons and Gary Salmons. Kyle leaves behind his former wife, Ada; daughters, Kim Blair and son-in-law, Dale of Wenatchee and Kristin Sitcov and son-in-law, Steve of Seattle. His pride and joy were his grandchildren, Anna Blair of Seattle, Katie Blair of Wenatchee, Hannah Wurz, Zach Wurz and Max, Isabel and Perla Sitcov, all of Seattle. He is also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews and their families, Dan Bonwell (Judy), Paula Bonwell, Connie Capelle, Jackie Thomas (Blair McHaney), Cindy Johnson (Skip), Mike Riley (Mindy) and Denny Riley (Sally).
Memorial Services will be held at 4:00 p.m., Friday, June 18, 2010, at Jones & Jones~Betts Memorial Chapel. Remembrances in Kyle's name may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 557 Roy Street, Lower Level, Seattle, WA 98109.
