Betty L. Reams of Spokane, WA went to be with the Lord on June 8, 2010, at Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane. She was 80. Betty was born on November 29, 1929, to Carl E. and Ruth A. Zucker at Hartford, SD. The family lived in South Dakota, Montana and then moved to Washington State in 1941. While living in Omak, WA, she met Arthur C. Reams Sr. and they were married on November 24, 1951, in Spokane. They had two sons Arthur Jr. and Rick. After the death of her husband in 1974, while living in Pullman, WA, Betty moved to Entiat, WA, to be closer to her parents and siblings. At this time, she started working in the fruit industry as a fruit sorter and packer. She worked in this industry for 20 years, in both Entiat and Wenatchee, WA. After she retired in 1996, Betty moved back to Spokane, where she lived with her oldest son and family. She enjoyed traveling as often as she could, often visiting her siblings and friends. She also enjoyed taking "Mystery" tours, visiting many locations throughout the United States. She was an avid reader who enjoyed historical fiction. She was also an excellent crocheter, who shared her work with many family members. She will be remembered as an outgoing and friendly person, who was easy to get along with and a pleasure to be around. She will be missed by her family and her many friends.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur C. Reams Sr.; and her parents, Carl and Ruth Zucker. She is survived by her sons, Arthur C. Reams Jr. (Darla) and Rick L. Reams (Valorie); granddaughters, Christy, Stephanie and Erin; two great-grandchildren, Danielle and Padraic; her sister, Dorothy Vradenburg of Entiat; her brothers, Roger Zucker (Francis) of Gaffney, SC, John Zucker (Yvonne) of Entiat, Robert Zucker (Irene) of Mt.
