Geneva Mae Boyd

Geneva Mae Boyd, 78, of Omak, WA, passed away February 7, 2010. She was born September 12, 1931, in Leola, AR to Velma and Graydon Majors. She lived in Arkansas until the age of five, when she moved with her family to Brewster, WA. She met Bill Boyd in Brewster and they were married in 1948. They had two sons, Kendall and Rex, and settled in Omak. She worked for Holts Fruit Company as an apple packer for many years, then worked for the Sears store in Omak. Geneva was a lifetime member of the Eagles Lodge, where she rose through the offices, until serving as Washington State Madame President from 1998 to 1999. She was currently serving as Washington State Eagles Grandmother. Through her Eagles work, she was instrumental in fund-raising for the Omak Hospital Dialysis Center.
She is survived by her two sons, Kendall and his wife, Carla of Wenatchee and Rex of Omak; a sister, JoAnn Ball of Iola, KS; eight grandchildren, Rob Boyd of Moses Lake, Kris (Brian) Cattin of Wenatchee, Leslie (Robert) Hollingsworth of Spokane, Jim (Dianna) Boyd of Omak, Staci Boyd of Boise, ID, Karyn (Greg) Whitman of Wenatchee, Susan (Mark) Willoughby of Ripen, CA and Wendi Martin of Wenatchee; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years; her parents; and a sister, Kandi Bradbury.
Memorial Service was held at Precht-Harrison-Nearents Chapel on Friday, February 12, 2010. A Graveside Service followed at Omak Memorial Cemetery. Precht-Harrison-Nearents Chapel was in charge of the arrangements.
