Wanda F. (Mitchell) Ogden-Yoder passed away peacefully at Mid-Valley Hospital on Tuesday, February 16, 2010, surrounded by family. Wanda was born on August 23, 1926, in Delaney, AR, to Boyd and Marie Mitchell. Brother, Ell, and sister, Geneva, soon joined the family, along with cousins, Annabel and Faye. At the age of 14, Wanda was baptized in The Church of Christ. She married Curtis Ogden in 1944, in Huntsville, AR and soon moved to the Okanogan Valley, where they began their family. They welcomed Sheila in 1947, and Steve in 1952. Wanda and Curtis enjoyed spending quality time with their family and friends, and looked forward to weekend picnics, Church and dinners at their Elmway home. Wanda and Curtis enjoyed 20 years of marriage until his death in 1964. In 1965, Wanda married Carl Yoder and moved to Riverside, WA, where they owned and operated Yoder Dairy. Shari was born to them in 1966. Wanda enjoyed delivering the Dairy's milk throughout Okanogan County. Wanda and Carl sold the Dairy in 1970, and began managing the Elmway Jackpot, then returning to their Elmway home. Many family gatherings were enjoyed, especially at Stampede. After 20 wonderful years of marriage, Carl passed away in 1985. Wanda moved to Moses Lake in 1989, to manage Regency Park Apartments, owned by her stepson, Butch Yoder. She brought flowers, soil and plants from her Elmway home, creating beautiful gardens. She thrived meeting new people and sharing stories. She returned to Omak in 2009, and resided at Apple Springs until her death. Sewing was Wanda's passion. No one will forget her quilts, pot holders and, of course, her Carebears. She had an eye for design and colors and found great joy in all the new fabrics.

Wanda is survived by her children, Sheila (Gordon) Horner, Steve Ogden and Shari Rutledge; and stepchildren, Butch (Nancy) Yoder and Carla Burke; daughter-in-law, Debra Ogden; life-long friends, Dorothy Reid and Annabel Weldon; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. She had nine grandchildren, Shane Christensen, Carrie Anthony, Sharma Dickinson, Christie Herber, Mindy Ogden, Tennille Bennett, Curtis Ogden, Matt Ogden and Meghann Ducken; and 16 great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of her Life will be held Saturday, April 24, 2010, at Riverside Grange. Precht-Harrison-Nearents Chapel and the Okanogan County Crematory are in care of arrangements.

I thought of you with love today, but that is nothing new. I thought about you yesterday, and days before that too. I think of you in silence, I often speak your name. All I have are memories and a picture in a frame. Your memory is a keepsake, with which I'll never part. God has you in his keeping, I have you in my heart ♥.....~Author Unknown~

I miss you so much grandma......you helped to mold me into the person I am today and I love you with all of my heart....you will forever be with me ♥ Love, Mindy Jo
