Richard James Piepel, 74, of East Wenatchee, died Friday, March 12, 2010.

He was a lifelong resident of the Wenatchee Valley. He had worked for Alcoa Inc. for many years, retiring in the late 1990s.

Survivors include his wife, Janet Piepel of East Wenatchee; his children, David Piepel and Mindy Piepel, both of East Wenatchee; his brothers, Frank Piepel and Donald Piepel, both of Wenatchee; and his sister, Rita Degman, also of Wenatchee.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Eastmont Baptist Church, 400 S. Kentucky Ave. in East Wenatchee. A private interment will be held at Evergreen Memorial Park in East Wenatchee.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday at Telford’s Chapel of the Valley in East Wenatchee.

Arrangements are by Telford’s Chapel of the Valley.
