Darlene Pfitzer, 74, of Omak, died March 16, 2010, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born April 11, 1935, in Olovitt, KS, to Floyd and Ida (Conklin) Stebbins. Darlene had lived in our area since 1938. She was a Registered Nurse in various places throughout the County. Darlene graduated from Omak High School in 1953, then attended and graduated from Wenatchee Valley College with an Associate's Art Degree and Registered Nursing (RN). Darlene was a longtime member of the Lighthouse Chapel (Assembly of God Church) in Riverside, WA.
Darlene is survived by her husband of over 50 years, Alex of Omak; son, Dan and daughter-in-law, Becky Pfitzer, son, Doug and daughter-in-law, Ramona Pfitzer and son, Daryl and daughter-in-law, Rebekah Pfitzer, all of Omak; grandchildren, Daniel and Soksanh Pfitzer, Dustin and Renae Pfitzer, Darren, Katie and Devan Pfitzer, Kimberly Pfitzer, Nathan Pfitzer, ShA' Pfitzer, Ethan Pfitzer and Lexi Pfitzer; great-grandchild, Dean Pfitzer; sister, Francis Brossard of Campbell, CA, sister, Erma Lee Gerla of Clayton, WA and sister, Carol Cranfill of Omak, WA; and one brother, Wesley Stebbins of Goldendale, WA. She was preceded in death by her father, Floyd Everett Stebbins; mother, Ida Adella (Conklin) Stebbins; son, Dean Alexander Pfitzer; grandson, Nicholas Pfitzer; sisters, Lois Schwilke and Lela Schwilke; and brothers, Wayne Stebbins and Albert Stebbins.
Visitation will be held at the Precht-Harrison-Nearents Chapel on Tuesday, March 23, 2010, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Services will be held at the Lighthouse Chapel on Wednesday, March 24, 2010, at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be held at the Okanogan Valley Memorial Gardens. Pastor Vern Weaver and Pastor Tim Watkins will be conducting the Services. Precht-Harrison-Nearents Chapel is entrusted with the arrangements.
