Thursday, March 25, 2010
City of Wenatchee employee Mike Merz uses a broom Wednesday to loosen debris from the bottom of the Wenatchee City Pool as a crew starts preparing the pool to open.
WENATCHEE — Crews have begun preparing the Wenatchee City Pool for its 2010 opening.
After they drain the pool, they’ll do any maintenance that’s needed and then refill the pool.
According to Don Bitterman, Fleet and Facilities Supervisor for the city, the crews are about two weeks ahead of schedule in getting the pool ready to open.
It will be open to the public on June 19th, but will also be open for a swim meet on June 4-6.
