Dale Ralph Hevly, 79, of East Wenatchee, died Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2010.

He was a longtime Wenatchee Valley resident. He had been a teacher for the Eastmont School District, a bus driver for Head Start in Cashmere, and was a volunteer firefighter for Douglas Co. Fire District 2.

Survivors include his wife, Ruth Hevly of East Wenatchee; his children, Duane Hevly, Diane Oberg, Craig Hevly and Tom Hevly, all of East Wenatchee; his stepchildren, Mark Ryser of Mount Vernon and Alicen Ryser of Bonney Lake; and his sister, Phyllis Lingenfelter of Marysville.

A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Monday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 667 10th St. N.E. in East Wenatchee.

Arrangements are by Kayser’s Chapel of Memories, Moses Lake.
