Seven boys attend Boys State

The American Legion Post 10 selected seven Wenatchee Valley delegates to attend the 2010 Evergreen Boys State program.
Central Washington University in Ellensburg hosted Boys State earlier this summer.
Local attendees were Fredy Cortez, son of Eleazer and Ana Cortez; Stefano Corulli, son of Douglas and Sandra Corulli; Tylor Fulkerson, son of Larry and Kimberly Fulkerson; Mitchell Parsons, son of Brian and Anita Parsons; Patrick Rosand, son of Garren and Tiffany Rosand; Jacob Scott, son of Dan and Lea Heimbecker; and Thomas Weis, son of Martin and Kari Weis.
Benefactors enabling the young men to attend Evergreen Boys State were American Legion Auxiliary Unit 10 Wenatchee, Forty and Eight Voiture 90, Sons of the American Legion Squadron 10, Wenatchee Valley Medical Center and John Wolffe.
Boys State and Girls State are summer leadership and citizenship programs sponsored by the American Legion and the American Legion Auxiliary for high school students between their junior and senior years.
