June and Jack Law

Jack and June Law of East Wenatchee will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary with a private reception Saturday.

The event is being planned by their son, Cameron Law of Grand Junction, Colo., and their daughter and son-in-law, Adrienne and Bill Cook of Bothell.

June Wainewright and Jack Law were married Sept. 13, 1950, in Vancouver, B.C.

The couple have lived in Seattle; Pullman; Des Moines, Iowa; Fort Collins, Colo.; Cairo, Egypt; San‘a, Yemen; and Wenatchee during their marriage.

He worked as a research scientist, a professor at Colorado State University and an international agricultural program director in Egypt and Yemen.

She worked in the office management and executive secretarial field. She was also a piano accompanist for a choir in Fort Collins.

The Laws have five grandchildren.
