Beaver Creek School is gone but memories abound

A big piece of Badger Mountain history went up in flames April 13 when the Beaver Creek School burned to the ground. “I had wonderful memories of that building,” said Sylvia Chapman, a former longtime Badger Mountain resident who moved to Wenatchee nine years ago. “It was a community place. When I was a child, my parents were involved with the grange there, and the adults would have grange meetings and big community dances, and they brought all the kids and we would fall asleep underneath the benches.”
