Chester L. Birks, 95, of East Wenatchee, died Saturday, July 30, 2011, in Wenatchee.
He had lived in East Wenatchee for 57 years. He had been a fireman at the Hanna Mining Co. in Rock Island, retiring in 1978.
Survivors include his children, Bonnie Birks Mitchell of Chico, Calif., Kenneth L. Birks of Roseville, Calif., Richard J.R. Birks and Robert Birks, both of East Wenatchee, Jerry Birks of Wenatchee and Janice Birks Kolbeck of Edmonds; and his brother, James Birks of New Jersey.
Graveside services with military honors will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Evergreen Memorial Park in East Wenatchee.
Arrangements are by Jones & Jones-Betts Funeral Home, Wenatchee.
