COULEE DAM — The Lake Roosevelt Raiders’ take over of the Central Washington League North Division is official.
The Raider boys handed Brewster a 73-50 defeat on Tuesday night, improving to 9-0 in league play and locking up at least a share of the North Division title with three games to go.
Lake Roosevelt held Brewster star Stockton Taylor to just five points.
“We did a good job of knowing where (Taylor) was at,” said Raiders coach Brad Wilson. “I thought our guys got progressively better on defense.”
Four Lake Roosevelt players scored in double digits, and two more scored eight points apiece.
“(Ty) Egbert was in foul trouble, but everybody else picked up the slack and did their thing. We had great play off the bench. Everybody did a good job of contributing,” Wilson said.
Egbert, a 6-foot-6 post, and Jesse Adkins had 12 points each to lead the Raiders.
Easton Driessen’s 20 points paced Brewster, which fell into a tie with Pateros for second place at 7-3 in league play.
