Wilburn Raymond "Ray" McCarrell

Wilburn Raymond "Ray" McCarrell was called home to the Lord on February 11, 2011. Born December 18, 1945, in Bethel, OK; Ray lived in Bethel until the age of 12. His family then moved to Wenatchee, WA, where he met and later married Edith Hurd on July 1, 1967, and together they raised five children in the Wenatchee Valley. Ray was an avid fisherman and jewelry maker, participating in many tournaments with his family. He also enjoyed sharing jokes and having a good laugh. Ray was an Industrial Mechanic for over 40 years, and after he retired, he traveled with his wife and lived and enjoyed the remainder of his life in Moses Lake, WA.
He is survived by his wife, Edith McCarrell; his children, Mechelle (Greg), John (Erin), Ron (Monica), Shawn (Sandy) and Jennifer McCarrell; 12 grandchildren, Christopher, Ellaina, Katherine, Claira, Gracie, Riley, Kristina, Mike, Thomas, Matthew, Emily and Madlaine; and three great-grandchildren, Cloe, Christopher Jr. and Renee.
Visitation begins at Telford's Chapel of the Valley, 711 Grant Road, East Wenatchee, WA on Wednesday, February 16, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. with a Funeral Service to follow at 12:00 p.m. A Graveside Service will then follow at Evergreen Memorial Park, in East Wenatchee, WA. Arrangements are by Telford's Chapel of the Valley, East Wenatchee, WA.
