Don "Frosty" Frostad
Thursday, February 17, 2011
Don Frostad, 68, died peacefully on February 4, 2011, from pneumonia at the end of a lengthy hospital stay. He was born and raised in Wenatchee, WA, moving his family to the Bellevue area in 1972. Don passed away in the perfect circle of love felt by his adored daughters, Amy, Kirsten, Alix and Jody; and his wife, Jeanne, the love of his life, partner and best friend for over 47 years. Don was an Eagle Scout and member of Order of the Arrow and Ad Altare Dei. He was a letterman on the Wenatchee Panthers High School football and ski teams. Skiing was his passion and he excelled in jumping, downhill, slalom and cross country. "Frosty" played on the 1958 Panthers undefeated AA State Champion football team. He graduated from St. Martin's College on the Dean's List, going on to highly successful careers at Xerox and later in the real estate and mortgage banking industries. Don loved boating and being on the water, apple fritters and eggnog lattes. He was an amazing man with many accomplishments, a Jack of all Trades.
Don was truly a gentleman and a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. His grandchildren will forever cherish the life stories he shared with them. Jody, Brandon, Kasey, Zach, Annie and Blake; Cam and Jake; Justin, Karissa and Joseph will miss their "Bompy" deeply, except baby Tyler, who is with him know. He will be remembered and admired by his friends for his wisdom, gentleness, positive attitude and his brilliant, quirky wit.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carmot and Joyce Frostad; and his sister, Annmarie Markham. He is survived by his sister, Joycie McQuinn.
A Memorial for Don will be held in the spring.
