The Grant County Sheriff’s Association announced their 2010 Deputies of the Year. They are Detective Matt Messer and Deputy Keith Edie. The award is chosen by a peer vote within the department, and the two were tied for the honor.
Link Transit’s Director of Maintenance, Todd Daniel, will participate in a study mission through the International Studies Program. Daniel is one of just 13 transit professionals nationwide selected for this program.
Wade Gebers, senior vice president and financial consultant with D.A. Davidson & Co. in Wenatchee, was named to the company’s honors club for his “client-first focus.”

The North Central Education Service District elected Jan Cetto of East Wenatchee as president, Karen Rutherford of Wenatchee as vice president, Jack Schneider of Omak as treasurer and Joan Acres from Moses Lake as secretary for the 2011-2012 term. Bill Baldwin, an attorney with Ogden Murphy Wallace law offices in Wenatchee, will serve as legal counsel. Dr. Rich McBride, the NCESD superintendant, will serve as an advisor; and Eldene Wall, NCESD executive assistant, will serve as foundation liaison.

Bill Lange, owner of Eagle Vinyl Fence and Deck in Wenatchee, attended the national yearly Fence Tech convention in Las Vegas.
Adrian Deines, owner of Alpine High Window Cleaning in Wenatchee, attended a four-day international convention for window cleaners in St. Petersburg, Fla.
Staff from Salon Expressions in Wenatchee attended a Goldwell advanced color techniques and retail products education class. They are: salon owner Leanne Peters, cosmetologists Katie Hoefner and Trisha Salvador, and Business Development Coordinator Marcella Hutton. Hutton, along with the salon’s Skin Care Specialist Barbara Ferguson, also recently attended a Facebook 101 marketing class hosted by the Greater Wenatchee Area Technology Alliance in Wenatchee.
