The Pateros Billygoats raced out to an early lead, then shut down Brewster star Stockton Taylor, on the way to a surprising 57-41 win over the Bears in an early-season matchup between two of the top Central Washington 2B League North Division boys basketball teams. “You gotta come out of the gates ready to play, and tonight we were hot,” said Pateros coach Mike Hull, whose team led 23-4 after the first. “We hit some shots, cleaned some boards early and were able to capitalize on the other end.”
