BREWSTER — Earlier in the season, Brewster girls basketball coach Randy Phillips experimented with lineups and player rotations, eager to find the team’s best combination.
It’s becoming apparent he’s found what he’s been looking for.
Becky Mae Taylor had 25 points and Chandler Smith had 21 to lead Brewster to an 85-66 win over Lake Roosevelt on Friday.
Taylor and Smith have both averaged 19.3 points over the team’s last three games.
“They’re starting to figure it out,” Phillips said. “Over the last three games I’ve put them in positions and said, ‘You know what you’re supposed to do.’ They’re playing their roles and getting better at it.”
