Beth Critchell passed away at her home in East Wenatchee, WA the evening of Saturday, July 9, 2011, at 10:35 p.m., surrounded by family. Beth was born in Afton, WY to Samuel and Oda Roos on September 1, 1930. The family moved to the Sandpoint area in Idaho in 1937, where Beth graduated from Sandpoint High School in 1949. She married Bobby Moore in 1949, and had four children, David, Robert, Douglas and Carla. Bob and Beth divorced in 1967. She worked at Roger's Thrift Store and Pack River Lumber Co. in the 1960's. Beth married Allen Critchell in 1971, and they moved to Wenatchee, WA. She owned and operated "Fabrics, Etc.", teaching sewing classes during the 1980's. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter-Day Saints for her entire life and, for many years, loved teaching the children in Primary. In her later years, she worked as a caregiver.

Beth Critchell is survived by her brother, Samuel (Francine) Paul; her sons, David (Cynthia), Robert (Kathi) and Douglas (Kathi); daughter, Carla (Randy Poelstra); and her unofficially adopted daughter, Jan Grubbs Sortor. She is also survived by Allen Critchell's children, Janice, George (Sharon) and Catherine (Dominick Ladolcetta). She is survived by 18 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

The family wishes to sincerely thank all those who provided care and comfort to Beth, allowing her to remain at home.

The Services and Celebration of Beth's Life will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 667 10th Street NE, East Wenatchee, on Thursday, July 14, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. The Interment will be held on Friday, July 15, 2011, at 2:00 p.m. in Sandpoint, ID at the Pine Crest Cemetery. In lieu of sending flowers, please send donations to the Humanitarian Relief Fund, in care of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1810 8th Street NE, East Wenatchee, WA 98802. Arrangements by Heritage Memorial Chapel, East Wenatchee.
