OKANOGAN — A 55-year-old Penticton, British Columbia, woman was killed Sunday afternoon in a motorcycle accident about 12 miles west of Okanogan on Highway 20.
Lorna M. Murray was pronounced dead at Mid-Valley Hospital in Omak, according to a State Patrol report. She was a passenger on a motorcycle driven by Kenneth J. Murray, 47, of Penticton. He suffered cuts and bruises.
The eastbound motorcycle failed to negotiate a curve and struck a tree, the report states. The motorcycle came to rest down a 25-foot embankment.
