Raymond "Ray" Haddock
Wednesday, May 25, 2011
Raymond Haddock went to Heaven to go fishing on May 22, 2011, after a courageous 20 month battle with lung cancer. Ray was born October 31, 1933, at Mt. Pleasant, AR. He came to Wenatchee, WA in 1953, to work in the orchards, until he went to work for Hanna Mining in Rock Island in 1959, where he retired after 40 years. Ray liked fishing, camping, working in his yard, flowers, gardening (especially his petunias and roses), and most of all, he loved his family.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Wilma; one daughter, Rosalie (Randy) Syria of East Wenatchee; a son, Randy Haddock of Wenatchee; one grandson, Tony (Christi) Meats and one great-grandson, Joseph Raymond Meats, all of Seattle; one sister, Hazel Hall of Batesville, AR; numerous nieces and nephews; and his special cat, Daisy. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; and two sisters.
A Private Family Gathering will be held at a later date.
