Shuttle to ease parking for Clarkson
Friday, April 13, 2012
WENATCHEE — As the 7:30 p.m. zero hour approaches for the sold-out Kelly Clarkson concert tonight at Town Toyota Center, officials are urging fans to leave their cars at Shopko and hop the shuttle bus to the arena.
The free shuttles will run from the Shopko parking lot on North Wenatchee Avenue at 10-minute intervals starting at 6 p.m., before and after the concert.
Or, as Clarkson herself, might sing: If the shuttle’s Already Gone when you get there, Be Still. It will be back Because of You. It won’t Let You Down. It will Save You a big hassle, because parking at and around the arena is limited. The short wait won’t kill you, and what doesn’t kill you makes you Stronger.

Without question, the most important event ever at the TTC and not one word in the Wenatchee World reviewing or describing the concert. And this from the biggest advocate for Prop 1? Perhaps I missed the article. I will go check again.

We haven't published a review of an entertainment event since roughly 1999. Change in focus, shift of policy. Here's a pretty nice critical assessment, though:

Uh, ok. Lots of things are different since 1999, including the future of the TTC and the financial stability of the City of Wenatchee. Just seems to me a positive article on such a big event at the TTC might be important.
