Tuesday, April 17, 2012

MARYSVILLE, Wash. (AP) — One of two men accused of burglarizing Snohomish County homes while the owners were away at family funerals has pleaded not guilty to charges of residential burglary and trafficking in stolen property.

Thirty-one-year-old Tyler Chase made a brief appearance in court Monday and was released on $25,000 bail.

The Daily Herald (http://is.gd/TXamoB ) reports 20-year-old Corey Arendt has not been charged. He was released over the weekend on $10,000 bail.

Snohomish County deputy prosecutor Craig Matheson says multiple charges are pending against Arendt, but a police investigation is ongoing. He expects the investigation to be completed in the next few weeks..
