Residents and visitors to the Upper Valley will enjoy touring some of the most beautiful homes and gardens in the Leavenworth area from noon to 5 p.m. on Sept. 9.
Each year, the tour offers a wide range of diversity, creativity and unique features in each of the homes. This abundance of variety includes spacious homes with outstanding features and gardens with beautiful views of the Upper Valley and the Enchantments.
Outdoor features include many breathtaking views of Icicle Ridge, Tumwater Mountains and the Cascade Mountain range, as well as views on the village side of Ski Hill and Wedge Mountain, acres of landscaped privacy, a private beach on the Wenatchee River and beautiful gardens in full bloom.
Indoor home features include a variety of homes with unique custom Tamarack logs, fireproof logs, old-world craftsman style, gourmet kitchens, marble floors and fireplaces, solar panels, custom handwork throughout homes, faux-finished walls by artist Jan Cook Mack, wine cellars and game rooms with solar power.
Types of homes range from a large home designed for two families with common areas to a renovated charmer.
Tickets are $20 per person and are available at the Cascade Medical Admitting Desk, 817 Commercial St. in Leavenworth, and the individual homes on the day of the tour. Foundation members will be hosting each of the homes. A map with the location of the homes is on the ticket and visitors may begin the tour at any of the homes. Refreshments will be served at one of the homes on the tour.
To fulfill the Cascade Medical Foundation mission, we are again committing to provide strong funding that will enhance the patient experience at Cascade Medical. This year’s focused goal is the expansion of the Family Practice Clinic. All funds generated by the home tour go directly to this project.
