DeFina — 50th

Joe and Marilyn DeFina of East Wenatchee will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a party in May.
The party is being planned by their sons and daughters-in-law, David and Misty DeFina of East Wenatchee and Steve and Robyn DeFina of Oakland, Calif., and their daughters and sons-in-law, Dana and Jeff Malick of Seattle and Julie and Ken Hart of Issaquah.
The couple also plan to celebrate by taking a cruise to the Panama Canal in February.
Marilyn Fisher married Joe DeFina Dec. 1, 1962, in Dayton, Ohio.
The couple lived in Orlando, Fla., Bremerton and Seattle before moving to East Wenatchee in 1972.
He served in the U.S. Air Force. He also worked for the NCR Corp. for 10 years and in the apple industry for 30 years.
She worked as a dental assistant and as a management team volunteer in the Central Washington Hospital gift shop for 13 years. She was a partner at the Ivy Cottage gift shop in East Wenatchee.
The couple operate a home-based business called Xango, a health and wellness company.
They have seven grandchildren.
