Candlelighting ceremony honors deceased children

Wednesday, December 5, 2012

WENATCHEE — The community is invited to light a candle in a Sunday ceremony to remember all children who have died.

The event, sponsored by the Wenatchee Valley chapter of The Compassionate Friends, will take place at 6:30 p.m. at Church of the Nazarene, 1011 S. Miller St.

Refreshments will be served after the ceremony. There will also be time to place photos of children on a memory board.

The Compassionate Friends is a nonprofit bereavement support group for families grieving the death of a child of any age.
