Wild goalie named NAHL player of the month
FRISCO, Texas — Wenatchee Wild goalie Robert Nichols was named the NAHL Goaltender of the Month for his consistent performance in the net last month.
The Wild goaltender helped his team to a 5-1 record in November and logged two shutouts in the process.
The 20-year-old leads the NAHL with four shutouts and ranks fifth in goals against average (1.93).
Nichols’ most recent accomplishment came in last Saturday’s 1-0 overtime win over the Johnstown Tomahawks.
Nichols is 13-3 in the net this season. He finished 24-6 with the team last year.
The Wild (17-3 overall) . They host the Jamestown Ironmen (18-6 overall), on Friday and Saturday at the Toyota Town Center for their last home stand before returning to the road. Both games start at 7:05 p.m.
